Jim and Julia Feirtag reside Deer Park, Texas, where Jim has served as Senior Pastor of Parkgate Community Church in Pasadena for 18 years. Jim is originally from Galesburg, IL and Julia from Detroit, MI and the Chicago suburbs. They met in college at Anderson University in Anderson, IN and have been married 22 years. Jim has a BA in Bible and Christian Ministries, a Master of Divinity in Theological Studies and a Doctor of Ministry in Christian Leadership, all from Anderson University. Julia was a middle school and high school English teacher for a time, but is currently self-employed as a photographer. They have two daughters, Abby and Katelyn. Abby is 18 and a sophomore at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX. Her major is psychology and she intends to be a clinical psychologist after grad school. Katelyn is 15 and is finishing her sophomore year at Deer Park High School. Currently, her time is consumed by theater and choir programs at school. Jim enjoys running and golf (though he’s not very good), St. Louis Cardinals baseball, Chicago Bears football, good movies, games and hanging out with friends. Julia enjoys food, art, literature and time with family and friends.
